Medical Category: PDE5 Inhibitor
Prescribed for the treatment of Impotence (Erectile Dysfunction) which is when a man cannot get or keep hard an erect penis suitable for sexual intercourse.
DO NOT: - take more than 1 dose in 24 hours
DO NOT USE IF: - you are alergic to any of the ingredients (especially lactose) - you are using nitrate medications either medically or recreationally - you have heart problems
CALL YOUR DOCTOR IF: - you become dizzy or nauseated, get paing, numbness or tingling in your chest, arms, neck or jaw - your erection becomes painful or lasts longer than 4 hours
ALWAYS CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE TAKING MEDICATION
It is especially important to consult your doctor if you have: - heart disease - diabetes - high blood pressure - low blood pressure - high cholesterol - a history of heart attacks, strokes, arrhythmia or angina - liver disease, kidney disease (or on dialysis) - blood disorders such as sickle cell anemia, multiple myeloma, leukemia, hemophilia - stomach ulcers - retiitis pigmentosa (inherited eye condition) - physical deformity of the penis (e.g. Peyronie's disease)
You should also consult your doctor if: - you are pregnant - you are restricted from having sexual intercourse for health reasons - you are taking ANY other medications
POSSIBLE SIDE-EFFECTS
As with any medication, there is the potential for side-effects.
Severe side-effects are extremely rare and newly prescribed patients should use a reduced dose on first use.
Possible side-effects include: - flushing - hypotension (low blood pressue) - hypertension (raised blood pressure) - headache and migraine - angina/chest pain - palpitations - fainting (syncope), - dizziness - fatigue - insomnia - hypoesthesia (reduced sense of touch - loss of sensitivity to sensory stimuli) - paraesthesia (tingling, pricking, numbness of the skin) - somnolence (drowsiness) - vertigo - seizure - pruritus (itching skin) - rash - sweating - nasal congestion and inflamation - blurred vision and changes in colour perception - epstaxis (nose bleeds) - eye pain - lacrimation (crying) - pharyngitis - sudden decrease or loss of hearing - tinnitus - dyspepsia - nausea - diarrhea - heartburn - myalgia (muscle pain), back pain, limb pain
In extreme cases: - transient global amnesia (temporary memory loss) - tachycardia (irregular heart rate) - stroke - sudden cardiac death
